Re: GC: Replenishment "mandatory" on raids

Well, if they're balancing around the idea that people simply aren't going to run totally dry on mana, it's going to be something we'll be facing sooner or later.

GC: Replenishment "mandatory" on raids

Blizzard is balancing raids around the availability of the buff : We consider Replenishment mandatory. What I mean by that is we assume that you have Replenishment available to your raid. It is technically possible to go without it, but you will need to overgear the instance or otherwise compensate...

Welcome back

Our Web host moved us to a new, faster Web server (hooray!) but along the way, somehow this board's connection to its database got severed somehow. In other words, this is somehow Widge's fault. (I also promised said host I would upgrade the message board and my blogs, for security reasons, so the n...

Re: Ringo, Polar bears

There was a scene in the Planet Earth miniseries (amazing nature documentary) where you see a polar bear swimming in an Arctic Ocean with no ice visible. The camera pans back and back and back, and still no ice is visible. Then they talk about how many polar bears are drowning every year, as the ice...

Gorgeous new winning cartoon

A lot of months, Blizzard just rewards the best gag in their monthly comic contest, but this month's winner is good looking, too:

AdBlock Plus can also permanently remove them. I didn't realize what the fuss was about at first because of it, in fact.

Go to the Interface settings and set it to Auto Self Targeting. Then any positive spell you cast while targeting an enemy will be cast on you instead.

Re: Really?

They seemed to have removed that feature in vista, but I remember mine being badly off, saying that I used frequently programs I haven't touched for a year and similar things. Yeah, mine is always hilariously wrong, unless the cats are sneaking in and playing games I haven't touched since they were...

Mage changes coming

Upcoming Mage changes The buffs here are designed primarily to make Arcane more competitive with Fire / Frostfire builds in PvE. Because they could end up buffing Arcane in PvP, we are prepared to adjust the damage of say Arcane Barrage if needed, but we want to see these in action on the PTR first...

Re: Hunter nerfs inc

Sorry to hear it. If I were still playing a hunter (my blood elf was a BM with a cat), I would seriously be considering a MM spec now. It's a very different playstyle, though, especially with Chimera Shot. Hopefully most BMs who are unhappy with cats being more comparable to other ferocity pets wil...

Re: Hunter nerfs inc

Beast mastery hunters, particularly those with cats or scorpids as their primary pets, will find them to be pretty substantial nerfs, I suspect. And yeah, I've been volleying my way through non-heroic instances. It's REALLY good now. If a hunter's AOEing more than a mage does, it's probably nerfbat ...

Hunter nerfs inc

Although, hey, my bear will hold aggro better now, and my cat won't be the must-have raid pet : Hunters of all specs, and particularly Beastmaster, are doing too much damage in PvE. We tested this a lot internally in beta and knew hunters were high but we hoped other classes would be able to catch ...
