I know beer has been brought up before in chat so here is a recommendation.

Milk Stout by Lancaster Brewing Company. I'm typically a Guinness only guy but this beer is pretty good. Nice and smooth.

I haven't tried that Rick. I too am a stout man amongst other styles as well.
In the stout world I've been on this lately

My other current crack addiction is IPA's with this one at the top of my list:

I'm really dying to try some Dogfish Head brewery stuff:

but we don't get it out here. I have yet to find something that is TOO hoppy.

"Pale Ale" yer say? Well, it would be a loverly sip
for an elf. I am more of a Dorfish
dark or
amber ale
type. There have been some recent good words
said about this one lately...

but I haven't made it to Brooklyn to try it yet.
An excellent local Quaff, for those who like a visit to the
dark side, is brewed just North of San Diego by the Stone Brewing
Company.

Arrogant Bastard Ale.... I love the beer, love the
attitude (
"You're not worthy; try something else" right there on
every bottle.), got the T-Shirt, looking for the soundtrack album.
Almost an equal to Guinness on tap on its own turf.
Thanks for the Website...it is a great reference.

Hmm, that Dogfish beer is probably the only one I could locate in my area. I'll have to keep an eye out.
Good stuff. I'm a fan of local brewers, just like the idea of it. Love to visit and taste test when I get the chance. Actually only one I have done that was in Vancouver on Granville Island, think it was Granville Island Brewers. Good stuff.

Went to a local brewpub yesterday for a late lunch, and had their special brew of the season, it was a Rye beer which was dark in color but slightly sweet and lighter than I would have expected based on the dark amber tint. It was really tasty and went well with my blackened salmon sandwich. I would link it but anything alcohol related is blocked at work, so maybe I will later, if I remember.

Both the beer and the sandwich sound good!

You need to work at a newspaper. Anything non-alcoholic is blocked here.

Which by a strange coincidence is the exact same reason why we don't have porn blocked here...

I think that we need video or at least photographic evidence...

Had a new beer the other day, Xingu Black Beer. Brazilian. Very good, smooth, good flavor.

My favorite stout is Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout, it's got such a great flavor, or, since it's imported from England, flavour.

I actually have a non-disgusting reply for this thread. A few years ago down in AU I came across a great beer - Victoria Bitters - VB as the locals say. It was delicious, even in massive quantities (it was AU after all...)
And be careful what you ask for, Kalena...
