Widge and I are exchanging the chat transcript our kings give to us so we can see what they say. Feel free to share yours:

Here's the text from the other side of town.

God, I love race flavored text. So interesting to see how each race interacts among their own kind. The gnome one made me laugh over the height measurement.

That is very cool. Kudos to Blizzard. This is a great time to be playing.

No fancy screenshots, but this is what it looks like for humans:
King Varian Wrynn wrote:Matthias, it's good to see you. Your strength and skills are a boon during this time of tribulations.
King Varian Wrynn wrote:So, the holy folk in Shattrath created what they promised! In hindsight, diverting so many priests and paladins there, instead of sending them against the Scourge, was the right move. With this holy weapon, we can beat back that damned Lich King and his minions!

I commend you, Lord Matthias.

Very neat. Hopefully the NE quest ends with a dead Fandral.

The cure works but the event won't totally end for a few more days, and apparently there will be more stuff happening in the days to come.

I'll post a screenshot of the Night Elf version soon. Sorry, no dead Fandral. :)

I'm looking forward to it, San! And any Exodar ones if one can be found.

Couldn't get it to shrink down to the text, but here it is:

Holy Cow San you're subscribed to the trade channel. What a glutton for punishment. :o

And world defense!

The concept of the "world tree" drifts further and further from its Norse origins. That's probably good, though, since it was a bit too "hey, here's a cool bit from my D&D campaign" in Warcraft III.

I finally found this on wowwiki, where the transcript is covered for each race except for night elves (thanks for filling in the blank, Sanlear!):

http://www.wowwiki.com/Bishop_Lazaril

Draenei version:
Progress
My son/daughter, the lands of the humans and orcs have treated you well. Such strength now swells within you...

Completion
Ah, I can see the power of the Naaru shine through this thing, as if the Light itself is housed here. Such good can be done with this implement; the necropolises sent from the frozen wastes of the north will surely fall.
This is the horde version of the quests (they're missing orc and undead), which is pretty disappointing since they all seem to be saying the same thing. The alliance ones have a lot more flavor.

http://www.wowwiki.com/Grand_Apothecary_Putress

Pick any horde race, really:
Progress
Welcome to Silvermoon, <name>. Grand Apothecary Putress sent word ahead of you... do you have the infected brain?

Completion
Ah, very good. The diseases this rotted head carries are deadly, but we must not shy from danger or from what we find distasteful. Some day, <name>, you will learn that damnation is the path to salvation...

I'm a druid tank. I'm used to taking punishment. :)

Thanks for finding the Draenei version, Beli. I was curious how theirs would be different. As you noted, it seems like the Alliance versions were much better done than the Horde's. :)

I suspect there is a reason for the Horde versions being the way they are...

Why do I have a feeling you know something here that I don't (sadly, a not uncommon feeling :) )

Take a good look at Putress in Shattrath. He has a unique graphic for a reason: He's going to be a major player in the Warcraft saga.

Interesting. Considering that he's an Apothocary, I can only assume that he's up to some seriously evil hijinks. Can't wait to see what happens. :)
