There's a free authenticator app for the iPhone/iPod Touch.
There's a bunch of other phones supported (over at mobile.blizzard.com) for 99 cents each.
You will protect your characters from hacking, which can and does happen even to people who don't click suspicious links or fall for phishing scams.
If you've been to Blizzcon the last few years, you've gotten free authenticators in your goody bag.
Plus, the pet is AWESOME.
