The Shattering is awesome!

And because I've been running around in a cultist robe, carrying strange literature, and frisking up women outside Stormwind.

Portals down. Great day to be an engineer.
Seeing the 'new' Menethil Harbor.
Plus seeing Mountaineer Barleybrew in Ironforge!

It is a new day.

If the character models had a few more polygons, this would feel like WoW 2 rather than just an expansion. I'm blown away by the scope of the changes they've made.

I can confirm that any attempts to get into the Mount Hyjal area (including Darkwhisper Gorge) trigger the "No Man's Land" feature, as does any attempt to get close to the big gate (now closed) that blocks off Grim Batol.

Interestingly enough, you can get all the way into Gilneas, which is completely depopulated at the present time.

It's a completely new game? I've been looking for some good feedback to decide if I want to try this expansion or not. Friends have mediocre reviews so far, plus I have a stash of games from black friday that I need to beat. Do you like the changes?

You can fly in Azeroth. That alone was well worth the purchase price. Plus the fact that they basically completely redid all of the quest lines on Azeroth based on what they learned from the other expansions means that leveling a new alt really will feel like a different game

The word "leveling" is what makes me cringe. What's the new cap at? I never got to top level on WotLK.
